Leo Lagendijk

Leo Lagendijk has thorough experience (27 years) regarding Electromagnetic Compatibility and Health Effects of Electromagnetic fields and Electrical Safety. He performed consultancy tasks in advising companies, national and local authorities, as well as worried citizens on health related issues of EMF. He is specialized in safety and risk inventories, electromagnetic compatibility, product safety, social responsibility, measurement techniques, public and media communication, telecommunication, regulation and education, He bases his consultancy tasks on the one hand on a profound knowledge of the relevant scientific information, on the other hand on the ability to translate technical results of measurements and calculations into comprehensible objective information. This information is communicated by means of e.g. reports, written (public) communications, in-company presentations, radio and TV-interviews, open information evenings, and post academic courses for medical- and safety-officers He represents DNV-GL as member of the Dutch Knowledge Platform on Electromagnetic fields and Health (initiated by the Dutch government in 2007). He is appointed as the officer of the scientific forum. Last years he performed several EMC and EMF investigations around high voltage and high power distribution systems. In large and complex projects Leo is focussed on bringing stakeholders together in profound knowledge and to achieve open, clear and trustfully communication.
